I’ve been in for a takeaway coffee a few times, and I must say the vibe of this bootlegger is great. Every time I’ve come for a coffee I get greeted with the biggest smiles. I would definitely recommend this bootlegger. Not only are the staff great, but it’s a very cute branch. 10/10 recommend. Went there this morning for a cup of coffee and was served by Zingaphi. She is a breath of fresh air, very bubbly and sweet ! A great addition to the team !

I had some of the best coffee I have ever had. I believe the Barmans name was Lauren, she made an excellent cup of Joe for me and my partner . I will definitely be back for a coffee made by her!

I recently ordered a sandwich from your café for R80, which felt a bit pricey considering the overall experience. The sandwich was quite dry, despite the mozzarella, ham, and Dijon mustard. It really could have used a fresh green leaf—something like rocket or lettuce—not just for flavor, but to add moisture and balance. Greens hold a lot of natural moisture, which would be especially welcome when the bread is toasted and tends to dry out. I also noticed that some of the other sandwiches seemed similarly dry. A few small additions—like a gherkin, a slice of tomato, or leafy greens—could make a big difference. Ideally, these shouldn’t be optional extras, but included as part of the sandwich, especially at this price point. Hope this is helpful.
