There is simply no better restaurant in Hout Bay. Bootlegger is truly on another level and delivers excellence every single time. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully prepared, and the quality never drops. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional, always going above and beyond to make you feel welcome and looked after. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and inviting, whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or settling in for a longer meal, no request ever feels like too much trouble. The coffee frezo deserves a special mention: without question the best in Cape Town. This isn’t a once-off experience either. I visit Bootlegger at least once a week, and I have never been disappointed. Consistency like this is rare, and it’s exactly why I keep coming back. I genuinely cannot rate this restaurant highly enough and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation

A Bootleggers like none other. Jafar the manager is outstanding - such a heart for people and service excellence. The burgers are sublime - in fact the best burger in the WC hands down. The ice cold Devils Peak lager is R29 a pint after 4pm (the coldest cheapest draft in SA). Beautiful coffee. Amazing light meals and freshly squeezed juices. Well done team. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve made Hout Bay great again. 👍🙌👌

We received excellent service especially from Siyander and the other guy whom I didn’t get his name. The food was also delicious
