We had such an amazing experience at Bootlegger Somerset West, and a huge part of that was thanks to Stephan Mouton. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. His service was attentive without ever being overbearing, and he had a great sense of timing — always there when we needed something, but never hovering. Stephan was friendly, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. He knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. You can really tell when someone enjoys what they do, and that energy carries through to the customers. If you’re visiting Bootlegger Somerset West, do yourself a favour and ask for Stephan. He truly goes above and beyond and is a real asset to the team. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be hoping he’s our waiter again.

The staff here are amazing. There is something very special about the team here and the restaurant. There is a beautiful tree incorporated and considered into the outside area that brings calm and offers a peaceful yet interesting experience to settle down for work, social or even just a takeaway coffee.

Went there just before closing time. Immidiately apologised and said "We can see you are closing up." Staff said we can still order something. We got two coffees and the gentleman behind the counter also crushed up some ice for my little boy. What amazing service. Keep it up!

We had breakfast after a lovely walk in the Nature Reserve. All was great.
